At a recent meeting, the Winnebago City Council discussed possible measures for razing the property where the former Supervalu building is located.
The Council earlier received two bids for the demolition of the property, but voted to table the bids in the event a better offer was submitted for council consideration at its regular meeting on September 8th.
At that time, the council approved a bid of $99,000 from Erosion Control Inc. for demolition work at the former Supervalu building site.
The city hopes to proceed with the demolition by the summer of 2022.
