Movie About World War II POW Camp Near Algona, to Begin Filming in November

Filming is scheduled to begin in November for a movie about a World War II Camp near Algona for German Prisoners.

The movie’s crew was recently in Kossuth County, scouting possible film locations.

D.J. Perry is the CEO of Collective Development and Author of the screenplay for the movie “Silent Night in Algona.”

Perry says the film is about patriotism and unity.  A lot of things in the film relate to what’s happening now, as well as important events worth remembering from the past.

Lead Actors for the film have been cast, but Perry says they’ll be looking for area residents to be extras and assist in other ways.
