A Ledyard man is facing a charge of domestic abuse after being taken into custody earlier this week.
Twenty four year old Jacob Govern, of Ledyard, was arrested by Kossuth County Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday afternoon on a charge of domestic abuse assault causing serious injury or mental illness – 1st offense.
Govern was booked into the Kossuth County Jail while awaiting an initial court appearance.
A no contact order was issued to prevent Govern from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
Govern is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on August 31st. He is also facing felony theft and burglary charges in connection with an alleged incident from Christmas Day 2020.
