Mankato Man Died in UTV Rollover Saturday near Wells

A Mankato man had died from injuries suffered in an accident involving a utility terrain vehicle in Freeborn County.

 

According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just before 4pm Saturday on 632nd Ave, Southeast of Wells.

 

Investigators say 30 year old Derek Lindely, of Mankato, was driving the UTV through a residential yard and was heading south onto 632nd Ave, when the vehicle rolled into the east ditch.

 

Lindely was thrown from the UTV and pinned underneath the vehicle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

A passenger, 25 year old Megan Lindely, of Mankato, was not injured in the accident.
