MN Lake Ambulance Has Received a Loaner Truck From Mayo

At this week’s meeting, the Minnesota Lake City Council was informed that the Minnesota Lake Ambulance Service has received a loaner truck from the Mayo Hospital System.

The truck that the City of Wells was going to provide to the ambulance service had developed mechanical issues and is currently out of commission.

The Minnesota Lake Ambulance is currently located at Everest, the company the City bought the truck from, waiting for more appraisals for damage it received in July as a result of an accident with another vehicle while transporting a patient to Mankato.

The ambulance service expects to know by the end of the next week what will be needed to repair or replace the truck, according to Ambulance Chief Dave Radtke.

Radtke added that it may be a full year from now before the service gets a replacement truck.
