State Representative Bjorn Olson of Elmore has earned a 2021 Housing Leadership Award for his efforts to make home ownership more affordable in Minnesota.
Housing First Executive Director David Siegel noted that Minnesota’s housing market is on thin ice and reform is very much needed to increase housing affordability.
Siegel credited Olson and other key legislators for working to address the housing affordability issue.
With inventory at an all time low, affordability is at its worst in decades and the widest home ownership gap in the country, Minnesota’s housing market is at a pivot point, Siegel added.
