Faribault and Martin Counties Seeing Uptick in COVID-19 Cases

According to Tim Langer, Public Health Sanitarian of Community Health and Human Service of Faribault and Martin Counties, both counties are seeing a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases.

With the CDC’s recent reversal on mask guidelines and concerns about the delta variant of the virus, Langer shared that he believes vaccination efforts are the key.

Langer shared that there is a certain level of fear for those who are not vaccinated, as they are more at risk.

Langer added that there is also a big concern surrounding young people.

Langer went on to share that there is a slight fear that if people remain unvaccinated, newer and more dangerous variants might develop somewhere down the line.
