Three People Injured in Fairmont on Tuesday After a Sheriff’s Car and SUV Collide

Officials in Martin County say three people were injured Tuesday when a Sheriff’s Office squad car, responding to a call, collided with an SUV at an intersection in Fairmont.

 

According to Police reports, the Sheriff’s patrol vehicle was traveling eastbound on Blue Earth Avenue, with its emergency lights activated, when it collided with a Chevy Equinox that was northbound on State Street.

 

The driver of the SUV, 50 year old Jeffrey Lupke and a passenger, 72 year old Suzanne Lupke, both of Truman, were transported to the Fairmont Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

 

The driver of the Sheriff’s Patrol Vehicle, 23 year old Luis Figueroa, of Fairmont, suffered minor injuries and was not transported from the scene.
