The Superintendent of the Fairmont Area School District is stepping down from his current position.
On Tuesday, the Fairmont School Board accepted the resignation of Superintendent Joe Brown, effective July 31st.
Brown has accepted a one year, interim Superintendent position at a school district in his home state of Iowa.
Brown has served as Superintendent of the Fairmont Area School District since 2010.
