A Swea City man has been charged with voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of another man during an altercation that occurred in Swea City in early April.
Fifty one year old Robert Laverty was arrested by Kossuth County Sheriff’s Deputies on June 24th and booked into the Kossuth County Jail.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Laverty was involved in a physical confrontation with 41 year old Casey Tobin, of Swea City, on April 3rd.
Tobin later died from injuries suffered during the altercation.
