Fairmont School District Accepts Compeer Grant and Approves Hirings and Resignations

The Farimont School District has received a $3,000 grant from Compeer Financial to benefit the district’s agriculture program.

 

The grant award was formally accepted by the Fairmont School Board during their regular meeting on Tuesday.

 

It was noted that the District received about $6.3 million in Covid Funds, with $4.8 million remaining for the 2021-22 school year.

 

The Board also accepted the resignations of Ethan Kueker as a Special Education Paraprofessional and Payten Crosby as a Fourth Grade Teacher in the district.

 

The Board approved the hiring of Amy Welden as High School Dean of Students, Kyle Leeson as a new High School Math Teacher, Elizabeth Kuebak as a Fourth Grade Teacher and Halea Picha to teach High School Social Studies.
