At their meeting on Tuesday, the Faribault County Board of Commissioners approved the hiring of Cameron Davis to fill out the current term of County Attorney Kathryn Karjala.
Karjala resigned because she is moving out of the area. Her term ends December 31st, 2022.
Davis practices law out of Davis Law Office, located in Albert Lea.
Because he was not elected to the position and is just filling Karjala’s term, Davis is not required to live in Faribault County.
Davis was one of two individuals who were interviewed for the job.
Board Members also voted unanimously to follow state recommendations on the mask mandate and authorized the Building and Grounds Committee to solicit a construction contract from Kraus-Anderson for work on the Courthouse HVAC project.
