The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show there are 86 new cases of COVID-19 in the state and Iowa is approaching five million total tests for the virus.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 369,441.
The data shows there have been 6,006 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,336 were residents of long term care facilities.
A vaccine dashboard on the Department of Health’s website shows, 1,265,610 people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
