The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show three more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and there are 253 new cases of the virus in the state.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 369,026.
The data shows there have been 5,997 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,335 were residents of long term care facilities.
A vaccine dashboard on the Department of Health’s website shows 1,228,238 people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
