The Blue Earth Area School Board held their monthly meeting and a strategic planning work session on Monday night. The work session lasted just over three hours.
At their regular meeting, Board Members received an update from Superintendent Mandy Fletcher. She provided an update on the Legislative Session, reviewed the credit recovery program and summer school for the upcoming summer and discussed the end of the school year dates. The last student day will be June 4th, commencement will be held June 6th, with staff development days planned for June 7th and 8th.
The Board also approved the resignation of three para-professionals, approved the hiring of two teachers and heard a report from members from the Journalism Club, who presented a report on the new student newspaper at the High School.
