Minnesota health officials reported Thursday 1,661 new cases of the coronavirus and 13 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 7,204 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,376 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 584,227 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year.
The Department of Health also reported over 2 million Minnesotans have been vaccinated against the virus.
