Iowa Adds 711 New Coronavirus Cases and 2 More Deaths on Thursday

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 2 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and there 711 new cases of the virus in the state.

 

The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 366,842.

 

The data shows there have been 5,962 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 2,321 were residents of long term care facilities.  There is one long term care facility in Iowa reporting an outbreak of COVID-19, Ubandale Health Care Center in Polk County.

 

A vaccine dashboard on the Iowa Department of Health’s website show 1,127,558 people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
