The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 6 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and there are 497 new cases of the virus in the state.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive to 361,811.
The data shows there have been 5,899 total death from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,305 were residents of long term care facilities.
The Health Department reports that 911,336 Iowans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while 375,482 people have received the first dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
