Iowa Reports 549 New COVID-19 Cases and 5 Deaths on Tuesday

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public health show five more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and there are 549 new cases of the virus in the state.

 

The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 360,683.

 

The data shows there have been 5,886 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 2,303 were residents of long term care facilities.

 

A vaccine dashboard on the Department of Health’s website shows 886,340 people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
