The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show another 7,000 Iowans have been vaccinated against COVID-19, while 518 new cases of the virus are being reported as well.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive to 350,841.
The data shows there have been 5,729 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,235 were residents of long term care facilities.
There are 191 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state. Of the hospitalized patients, 38 are in intensive care and 11 of them are on ventilators.
