Minnesota health officials reported on Thursday 1,857 new cases of the coronavirus and 16 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 6,814 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,264 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 510,398 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year. Of those 492,058 people no longer need to self isolate.
