Iowa Reports Another COVID-19 Outbreak in 1 Long Term Care Facility and 489 New Coronavirus Cases

The latest number from the Iowa Department of Public Health show that after about a week of long term care facilities in Iowa being free of COVID-19 outbreaks, a facility in Wapello County is experiencing an outbreak.  Data also show 489 new cases being reported statewide along with no more deaths.

 

The number of new positive COVID-19 tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 346,303.

 

The data show there have been 5,675 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 2,224 were residents of long term care facilities.
