Minnesota health officials reported on Friday 1,449 new cases of the coronavirus and 9 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 6,771 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,247 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 502, 893 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began. Of those, 485,912 people no longer need to self isolate.
