The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 15 more Iowans died from COVID-19 and 565 new coronavirus cases have been reported.
The number of new positive cases reported brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 343,912.
The data shows there have been 5,657 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,222 were residents of long term care facilities. There is only one long term care facility in the state with an outbreak of the illness.
