On Tuesday, following a public hearing, the Faribault County Board of Commissioners, on a unanimous vote, gave final approval to a capital improvement bond and authorized the issuance of $4 million in bonded debt.
The bonds will be used for the purpose of financing the construction of various capitol improvement projects in the County.
Board members also received an update from County Engineer Mark Daly and set Tuesday, April 6th, as the day the east entrance of the County Courthouse would reopen. The entrance has been closed for several months because of the pandemic.
The Board also agreed to sell to the City of Winnebago, 2 parcels of land to help correct blight in the City and approved Chris Ziegler, of Winnebago, to a 5 year term on the Housing and Redevelopment Authority.
