Following their work session that included at tour of an HRA owned townhouse at 101 Blue Stem Drive, the Blue Earth City Council returned to the Council Chamber on Monday Afternoon where they approved revisions to the Bartels Drive Reconstruction Project.
The revised project will be bid out with an option that will include installation of new sewer and water lines and a complete reconstruction of the street. The needed sewer improvements were discovered during the televising of sewer lines in preparation for the project. The City will be sending out an invitation to affect property owners to attend the Council Meeting on March 15th.
Council Members also approved the Blue Earth Water Treatment Study, approved a resolution authorizing soil testing of the tennis courts at Putnam Park and approved the roof inspection plan from Kato Roofing. The city received three bids for the spring inspection plan for all roofs on city owned buildings.
The Council also discussed the possibility of hiring a part time Community Service-Code Enforcement Officer for the City. The Council is planning to hold further discussions on the job description and responsibilities for the position.
