Iowa Add 647 New Coronavirus Cases and 25 More Deaths on Friday

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 25 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 647 more Iowans have tested positive for the virus.

 

The number of new, positive cases reported brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 335,405.

 

The data show there have been 5,463 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 2,158 were residents of long term care facilities.

 

A vaccine dashboard on the Department of Health website was set up to keep track of the progress of COVID-19 vaccinations in the state.  As of today, 155,382 people have received both doses of the vaccine, while 316,183 people have received the first dose.
