A Fairmont School Bus and a semi were involved in an accident on Thursday.
According to the information from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department, the bus was traveling south along Albion Ave. when the truck clipped the back of the school bus, causing it to move near the ditch, where it ended up flipping on its left side.
Ten Children and the driver were inside the bus at the time of the accident. Emergency personnel were able to remove the children and the driver from the bus. According to information provided by the school district, the 10 kids were all safe and turned over to their parents. The bus driver was ok as well.
An investigation of the accident is ongoing.
