Superintendent Fletcher Reports Higher Enrollment Numbers This Year

Enrollment numbers in the Blue Earth Area School District are higher than they were a year ago.

The School Board received those numbers from Superintendent Mandy Fletcher at their meeting Monday night.

As of February 8th, a total of 1,031 students were attending classes in the District, 10 more than on February 7th of last year.

Fletcher said that Blue Earth Area is one of very few districts across the state that has seen an increase in enrollment numbers and that is something the District should be proud of.

Board Members also approved the Faribault County Register as the District’s Official Newspaper, approved the legal firm of Kennedy and Graven as legal representation for the 2020-2021 school year and accepted retirement notices from Terri Cue, an Elementary Teacher and Randy Wirtjes, a K-7 Physical Education Teacher.  Both retirements are effective at the end of the current school year.
