The Faribault County Commissioners used a good portion of their meeting time on Tuesday to discuss bonding to fund a 5 year capital improvement plan.
Last December, the Board had approved a plan calling for a bond amount of $3.5 million, however, following a meeting of the Buildings and Grounds Committee last month, a recommendation was made to increase the amount to $4 million.
A motion was made to bond for $4 million. It passed on a vote of 4-1, with Commissioner Groskreutz voting against the motion.
The next step in the process will be to hold a public hearing at a later date.
