On Thursday Afternoon, just after 4:30pm, the Blue Earth Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance were dispatched to a fatal motor vehicle accident on County Road 16 at the intersection of Childs Street.
A pickup driven by Carl Miller of Winnebago, was driving east on County Road 16 when he left the road and struck a tree on the north side of the road.
Miller was transported to the United Hospital in Blue Earth, where he was later pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene was the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department.
