Minnesota health officials reported 1,917 new cases of the coronavirus and 79 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 5,050 people have died because of the virus. A total of 3,273 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 404,403 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began. Of those, 381,269 people no longer need to self isolate.
