On Wednesday, the Minnesota State Patrol investigated an accident at the westbound rest area on Interstate 90 near Blue Earth.
A vehicle driven by 57 year old Glenn Abbott of Rochester entered the rest area and the driver exited the vehicle while it was still in motion, causing the vehicle to crash into a wooded area.
Abbot was taken to the United Hospital in Blue Earth for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department and the Blue Earth Police Department.
