On Tuesday, the Faribault County Commissioners certified the County’s budget and levy for next year.
The total net levy for 2021 was set at just over $11.9 million, an increase of just over $290,000 or 2.5%. The County’s total budget for next year is just over $29 million.
ON a 3-2 vote, the Commissioners approved a 20 year tax abatement for the APX Housing Project in Blue Earth.
The Board also agreed to purchase a F-150 pickup from Fairmont Ford to replace a vehicle damaged in an accident on December 7th and agreed to purchase an additional 3 – 2020, Ford pickups out for the Sheriff’s Department’s budget for next year.
Board members also set their annual salaries for next year and agreed to sell 2 tax forfeited properties to the City of Bricelyn for $1 each.
