The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 102 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 2,543 new cases have been reported.
The number of new positive cases reported brings the total number of positive tests to 248,782.
The data shows there have been 3,021 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 1,127 were residents of long term care facilities. There are currently outbreaks at 141 long term care facilities in Iowa.
There are 894 hospitalized patients in the state, down 6 from the previous day. Of the hospitalized patients, 196 are in intensive care and 120 of those patients are on ventilators.
