The 24th Annual KBEW/Darling International You Can Make A Difference Campout wrapped up on Saturday.
This year the community donated about $20,000 in monetary donations to benefit the Faribault County Food Shelf and the Western Faribault County Toy Drive.
Also donated were a total of 3,801 food items from the campout and 903 food items from the school district, for a total of 4,704 food items. Also donated were a trailer full of toys for the toy drive.
The toy distribution will be held Saturday at the Legion in Blue Earth. Officials are working on the final plans for the distribution, to ensure the safety of every one due to the coronavirus outbreak.
All of the campers at the year’s You Can Make A Difference Campout would like to thank everyone for their donation. With your help, we have made a difference in Faribault County.
Plans are already in the works for the 25th Annual You Can Make A Difference Campout, to be held December 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2021.
