Minnesota health officials reported on Monday 5,296 new cases of the coronavirus and 21 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 4,005 people have now died because of the virus. A total of 2,645 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 356,152 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began in March. Of those, 314,138 people no longer need to self isolate.
