Faribault County Commissioners Approve Aquatic Invasive Species Grant With the State

On Tuesday, the Faribault County Commissioners approved a resolution for a 2 year AIS Grant with the State of Minnesota.  The grant funding is used to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species in lakes across the state.  The county was allocated about $30,000 for 2020 and about $29,000 for the year 2021.

Board Members also received a construction update from County Engineer Mark Daly and approved the final payment of just over $17,000 to Ulland Brothers, Inc. for the pavement rehabilitation project on County State Aid Highway 23.

The Board also accepted the resignation of Susan Dundas from the Library Board and held the County’s Truth and Taxation Hearing.  No one from the public showed up for that hearing.
