Alden – Conger Operating Levy Passed By Voters on Tuesday

An operating levy has gotten the green light from voters in the Alden-Conger Public School District. The referendum passed by a vote of 276 “Yes” to 187 “No” on Tuesday.  The school district says that will increase its operating levy authority to $1,194 per student for 10 years, meaning another $557,000 of additional revenue annually.…read more »

Soybean Harvest Almost Complete and Corn Harvest Nearing 90% Complete in MN & Iowa, According to the USDA

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending November 5th.  Fieldwork included harvesting row crops, completing fall tillage, applying fall fertilizer, bailing stalks and hauling manure. Gov Walz Signs Executive Order to Base State Government Hiring on Experience & Skills Rather Than College Degree Requirements
