Minnesota farmers, ranchers and landowners are set to receive about $826 million in federal farm safety net and conservations payments.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the funding includes crop support payments for 2025 and annual Conservation Reserve Program payments for 2026.
Crops triggering payments in one or more Minnesota counties include corn, soybeans, wheat, oats and sunflowers.
More than 869 thousand acres in Minnesota are enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program, which pays landowners to maintain conservation cover and protect wildlife habitat.
The USDA says the payments will help cover farm expenses and support rural businesses.
Farmers can contact their local Farms Service Agency office for details. Enrollment for the 2026 crop year runs through December 11th.
