The Blue Earth City Council has approved a comprehensive assessment of the City’s Municipal Facilities to help plan for future improvements.
ICS Consulting will evaluate city buildings, including structural components, mechanical and electrical systems, accessibility, energy use and overall space needs.
The assessment will identify maintenance and capital improvement projects and provide preliminary cost estimates for the city’s 10 year Capital Improvement Plan. It will also examine current and future space needs and whether departments are best served by existing buildings, relocation or potentially new facilities.
The assessment will cost $12,125, plus reimbursable expenses expected to be no more than $2,750.
The work is expected to take approximately two to three months to complete.
