The Blue Earth City Council approved three resolutions Monday night.
The Council approved combining two adjoining lots owned by Dennis and Darlene Hilpipre into one parcel. The lots are in the Child’s Park Addition and serve one existing home.
The council also authorized the city to apply for state funding through the Business Development Public Infrastructure Grant Program. Mayor Rick Scholtes and City Administrator Dawn Collins were authorized to execute agreements for the project. Matching funds would come from Blue Earth Light and Water.
The council also authorized the issuance of up to $9.5 million in General Obligation Bonds. The bond proceeds will fund various public improvements and refinance certain existing debt.
The bonds could be sold through private negotiation, with the city requiring a true interest cost below six percent.
