The American Legion Post 89 in Blue Earth is putting more than $20,000 back into the Faribault County Community.
The Legion, Graham Redemption Cycles and the American Legion Riders recently presented a $20,500 check to Bean and Bear.
The nonprofit will use the money to create de-escalation toolkits for Faribault County First Responders working with people with autism or other special needs.
The kits include noise-reducing headphones, sunglasses, communication cards and fidget tools. Each costs about $100.
Bean and Bear founder Jamie Klug also trains first responders on communication and ways to better understand individuals with autism during emergencies.
Organizers say 80% of the money raised will support the toolkits. The remaining 20% will fund scholarships for Faribault County students entering the military.
