Amboy to Receive $2.2 Million for Water Treatment Plant Improvements

The City of Amboy is receiving more than $2.2 million in state funding for improvements to its water treatment plant.

The Minnesota Public Facilities Authority announced Amboy will receive $2,260,300 to address excessive manganese in the city’s water system.

The Amboy project is among 12 wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects in nine Minnesota cities, receiving a combined $88.6 million in loans and grants.

The Public Facilities Authority says the funding helps communities replace again infrastructure, protect public health and improve water quality.

Since 1987, the authority has provided nearly $7.7 billion for public infrastructure projects across Minnesota.
