The latest USDA Crop Progress report shows corn development moving along quickly in Minnesota and Iowa.
In Minnesota, 95% of the corn crop has reached the dough stage, 68% is dented and 9% is mature. Sixty two percent of Minnesota corn is rated good to excellent.
In Iowa, 94% of corn has reached the dough stage, 68% is dented and 6% is mature. Iowa’s corn condition is stronger, with 77% rated good to excellent.
For soybeans, 97% are setting pods in Minnesota and 93% in Iowa. Minnesota Soybeans are rated 57% good to excellent, compared with 77% in Iowa.
