The Blue Earth Police Department has passed a compliance review conducted by the Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training or POST Board.
The review was conducted July 31st and examined the department’s records involving mandated employee training and department policies.
The POST Board reviews Minnesota Law Enforcement agencies to ensure they meet required standards for areas including use of force, firearms training, emergency vehicle operation and pursuit driving.
In a letter to Blue Earth City Administrator Dawn Collins, POST Board Executive Director Erik Misselt said the department passed the review following a comprehensive examination of its training records and policies.
Misselt encouraged the city to recognize the police department for the accomplishment, saying compliance helps maintain professionalism and quality law enforcement services across Minnesota.
