Two people suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon when a small, single engine plane crashed in rural Martin County.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was reported around 3:20pm, near 50th Street and 310th Avenue, southeast of Fairmont near the Martin-Faribault County line.
Both occupants reported minor injuries. It’s unclear whether either person was taken to the hospital.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will investigate. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Responding agencies included the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Fairmont Fire Department and Blue Earth Fire and Ambulance.
