Candidate filing has officially closed for City and Township Offices across Faribault County ahead of the November 3rd General Election. Not all of the candidates have been posted as of this time, but the following is the list available as of noon on Wednesday.
In Blue Earth, Dan Mensing filed for the Board of Public Works.
Several Communities will feature contested mayoral races. In Minnesota Lake, incumbent Edith “Edie” More and Jeff Ramsley both filed for mayor, while Winnebago voters will choose between Dillion Johanson and Scott Robertson. John Goette filed for mayor in Bricelyn, Bryant Stiernagle in Easton, Zachary Dahl in Elmore, Nonna Goin in Walters and Crystal Dulas in Wells.
City Council races are also taking shape. In Bricelyn, Jason Anderson and Gerald “Gerry” Marrose filed for Council. Delavan has three candidates for council seats, Megan Morrison, Lisa Schultz and Bryan Roiger. Easton Council candidates are Gayle Heise and Elijah Lippert, while Elmore voters will chose among John Aspen, Isiah Bladzik, Melanie Garvick and Lorman Jahnke.
Other council candidates include Marcia Dahleen and Jason Kluender in Kiester; Joan Proehl and Richard Stalock in Minnesota Lake; Steven Brenke, Brent Stencel and Benjamin Haukoos in Walters; Lyle Doerr-Rodriguez Jr., John Herman, Seth Olson and Lexie Sherman in Wells and Brian Dahms, Ryan Hatlen and Darold Nienhaus in Winnebago.
Township filings include Yvonne Cory for Barber Township clerk; Mark Sohn for Blue Earth City Township supervisor and Brenda Baldwin for township treasurer; Neal Mensing and Jason Engelby for Verona Township supervisor seats, along with Donald Selvig for township treasurer.
