A Fairmont Police Officer has been arrested and is facing criminal sexual conduct charges following a Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigation.
Officer Dustin Wade Schwebke is awaiting formal charges of felony criminal sexual conduct, felony threats of violence, felony witness tampering and misdemeanor domestic assault following a call to a “civil-custody issue” on May 30th.
To avoid a conflict of interest, the Martin County Sheriff’s office and the BCA are leading the investigation rather than the Police Department.
Schwebke has been employed with the Fairmont Police Department since 2007 and is assigned as a Patrol Officer. He has been placed on administrative leave.
