Two Mapleton residents are facing felony charges after authorities say they extorted thousands of dollars from a man by threatening to accuse him of soliciting prostitution.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Blue Earth County District Court, 33 year old Jordan James Kenady Rollings and 26 year old Marissa Marie Rollings are each charged with two felony counts of coercion to commit a crime and two felony counts of coercion through threats of bodily harm.
Investigators say Marissa Rollings contacted the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office in December 2025, claiming a man had offered her money for sex while she cleaned his home. Authorities later discovered the man had been receiving threatening text messages demanding money in exchange for keeping the allegations from being reported to law enforcement.
The complaint alleges the victim was instructed to place $7,500 inside a white Ford pickup parked at the Home Depot in November 2025. Surveillance footage reportedly showed Marissa Rollings near the truck shortly before the cash was deposited.
